The Importance of Being Earnest

The Importance of Being Earnest

Join us for an unforgettable Victorian experience of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, a wonderfully witty play on romance, friendship and avoiding one’s odious social obligations!

The play will run from 29th – 31st August with a matinee on Saturday 31st.

It will be held at the truly magnificent Clifton Club in the heart of Clifton Village, where a young Victoria once stayed before her ascension to the throne.

There will be two intervals of 15 minutes where cucumber sandwiches & slices of Victoria Sponge cake will be served by butlers in authentic Victorian costumes. The bar at The Clifton Club will be serving a variety of drinks, including two delicious cocktails which have been tailored for the occasion and can be purchased in advance when you book your tickets.

Black tie, while not necessary, is certainly welcomed. Doors open at 7. Commence at 7.30. Carriages at 10.15.

We look forward to welcoming you as our esteemed guest!
