Me and My Girl - Theatre trip

Join us for a fab night out at the Redgrave theatre as we catch our first musical of the year.  The Western Opera Players present ‘Me and My Girl’:

Lovable Lambeth lad Bill Snibson is astonished to discover that, due to an accident of birth, he has inherited the title of ‘Earl of Hareford’. Equally astonished and not at all amused are his aristocratic relatives when they meet the new Earl for the first time. Sir John tells the Duchess of Dene, Bill’s aunt, that they should pay him off and get rid of him. After all, he’s an outsider! But the Duchess is determined to make an English gentleman of Bill. Sadly, Bill’s sweetheart, Sally, does not figure in the Duchess’s plans and Lady Jaqueline, the Duchess’s daughter, can’t wait to get her hands on Bill and his fortune. Bill, however, has other ideas! Come and enjoy this entertaining tale of social collisions with a hilarious script revised by Stephen Fry and with well loved songs such as ‘Leaning on a lamp post’, ‘Me and My Girl’ and the ever popular ‘Lambeth Walk’!
