For the last couple of years, CADS have taken to the streets of Clifton Village for a promenade performance of some of Shakespeare’s best. It was such a success that we have decided to return yet again!

We’ll be performing several shows on both the 23rd and 24th June.

This year, the theme is ‘Midsummer Madness’ – think rude mechanicals, mischievous spirits and tortured souls.

Auditions will take place on at 7:30pm on Wednesday 21st at Bristol Improv Theatre and Thursday 22nd March.  It will be a relaxed process where you’ll get the chance to meet other people interested in the show.

We’ll ask you to perform one of two monologues and the Demetrius/Helena scene with another person auditioning – you can find a document with these pieces here. You’re also welcome to perform an additional extract of your own choosing.

First rehearsal will then take place on the 5th April, with Monday and Thursday rehearsals in the weeks following.  Thanks to the nature of the show, you’ll be able to commit as much of your time as you are able. A smaller part in one scene might mean as little as a couple of hours rehearsal a week.
