Bleak Expectations (by Mark Evans) is the theatrical version of the award winning radio series. It’s a silly, camp Charles Dickens parody told by Sir Phillip Bin, all about his exploits with sisters Pippa and Poppy and best friend Harry Biscuit, as they navigate the rigid expectations of Victorian England and the evil machinations of Mr Gently Benevolent.
Audtions are being held in May, and tickets for the show will be available after Easter.
Performances will run from 5th to 8th August 2026, (including a Sat matinee), at The Bristol Improv Theatre. Please note that unfortunately the theatre is downstairs with no lift so is not fully accessible.
