Auditions for Robin Hood and Maid Marian: The Panto!
Date/Time
Tue 25th August - Thu 27th August
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Location
Clifton Library
The Sheriff of Totterdown is rinsing the poor folks of Bristol dry – he and his emo henchman, Guy of Gisborne, have started taxing eating, drinking, walking, running, standing still, breathing, holding your breath, sleeping and being awake – or being at a wake!
Maid Marian has been doing her best to support the poor folks of Bristol but in this small provincial city – and period piece – there is only so much one woman can do! Will Robin Hood return from his travels to “find himself” across the peninsula? Will he unite with his old chums to steal from the rich to give to the poor? And will he have time for a pint at The Wild Bush afterwards?
Auditions for Robin Hood and Maid Marian: The Panto will be on Tuesday 25 August to Thursday 27 August at Clifton Library – audition slots are available to book NOW. With much singing, dancing and general merriment to be had, we hope to see you there!
What do I need to do to audition?
- Take a look at the audition pieces and see what characters you’d like to try out for
- Then book a slot and provide the information requested
(NB: You are welcome to audition for more than one character but we may only have time for you to read for two. You might be asked to read for a character you haven’t prepared for, so worth having a look over all the parts, but if you’re not comfortable doing this it’s absolutely fine, just let us know).
- Decide what short song to sing; just a verse and a chorus is fine (even happy birthday will do). It’s just to give an idea to help with casting.
We are planning to rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from September until the show dates.
- Dates of the show: 18th – 21st November 2026
- Full cast script read through during the late afternoon of Saturday 29 August – save the date!
