The Off-White Horse open read-through

Join us on Monday evening, 3rd August from 7:30pm, for a relaxed, informal open read-through of the next CADS show, The Off-White Horse by Adam H. Wells. All are welcome, members and non-members, anyone who is interested in what CADS are going to be putting on next, especially if you’d like to audition and get a better idea of the play before auditions start on Tuesday 11th August.

“Between a mother who had an affair three years ago, a youngest daughter who hates her father and a heavily autistic oldest daughter life in the Liddell family isn’t easy. Enter Olivia, a vindictive and manipulative aunt, and latent tensions within the family bubble over and erupt with violent consequences.

The Off-White Horse explores themes of family ties, loyalty, sacrifice and the importance of getting by one way or another however bleak life might be. On its first performance it was shortlisted for  the International Student Drama Festival 2012, with three of the actresses and the Director invited to be part of the festival’s ensemble. The play was also the first performed at the Nottingham New Theatre entirely without a budget, and raised over £500 for the Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism.”

“this is definitely one of the best plays I have seen at the New Theatre.” – Nottingham Impact

This is a great way to meet like minded people and get ahead of the game if you are planing on auditioning. If you want to get involved in a technical role or do front of house, etc., you are also very welcome to come along – this is a social event!

This event is free to all, just turn up at the Lansdown after 7:30pm in time to start the read-through at 8pm.
