Come along and join us for this read-through of Stephen Briggs’ theatrical adaptation of Terry Prattchett’s Carpe Jugulum. No experience required, just turn up prepared to sit in a circle and read aloud in public (or you’re very welcome to just come and listen in, just let us know when you arrive if that’s what you’d rather do).

It’s £3 for non-members, £1 for CADS members, but remember to be a member for 2015 you have to have paid your membership fee (currently £15)! Feel free to pay this at the workshop, or for details of how to pay online so you’re paid up in advance of the workshop please email secretary@bristolcads.org.uk.

So what’s this play about then?:
The de Magpyrs are the sort of vampires that would have Count Dracula spinning in his grave: modern, forward-looking and no longer afraid of holy water, garlic, religious symbols or, indeed, of anything else. This makes them very, very dangerous. Luckily for the Discworld, the three Lancre witches are on hand — and the battle is on!

Lots of fun with a whole host of characters to get your teeth into (pun fully intended). 21 male, 15 female, though as usual we’ll be playing fast and loose with gender, so don’t worry if you’re a chap who’s always wanted to have a shot at playing Granny Weatherwax, or a lass who’d fancy a try at being an old-school vampire count :). We’ll be swapping around characters fairly frequently to try and make sure everyone gets a go at various parts.
